Chris obtained his degree in Dentistry with an Honours in Prosthetics in 1983 from the University of Melbourne. From 1984 he worked in a variety of practices in Mont Albert, Moreland and at 71 Yarra Street before opening his own practice in Keilor Downs in November 1985. In 1989 he returned to 71 Yarra Street to work part-time with his father and maintained the Keilor Downs practice until 2000, when Geoff Snell retired.
